Guy Carpenter boasted a significant bench strength lead in the reinsurance line of this year’s London’s Leading Brokers survey, with three of the top five individual reinsurance brokers hailing from the firm.
Senior vice president Nicola Prosser took the top spot, while senior vice president Steve Halford and senior vice president – London North America Spencer Trew placed fourth and fifth respectively.
Insurance research firm Gracechurch noted that Aon and Gallagher Re remained relatively strong in the overall reinsurance broking rankings.
Gracechurch said: “Although there is a significant drop to the next featured brokerages, there is only a one-point gap in terms of bench strength between them, which shows how competitive this line of business is.”
James Moss, head of casualty at Gallagher Re UK, took the runner-up position, while Aon reinsurance broker Wayne Greet took third place – a step up from fourth in last year’s reinsurance brokers survey.
Having nabbed the top individual broker last year with Graeme Moore, CEO of Willis Re Specialty, WTW dropped to fifth place overall and had no brokers in the top five individual rankings.
Gracechurch’s latest edition of the survey collected nominations and data between June 2021 and February 2022.
The firm said around 200 professionals in the London market submitted nominations for 344 individual brokers across 60 different broking firms.
